Train Noise Expert is the result of decades of research at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), University of Southampton, UK. Our research has included all the mechanisms involved with noise from modern trains, which includes noise from rolling, aerodynamic and equipment sources.

This software can be used to predict the levels of noise that might be expected from various train configurations.
