Library

Train Noise Expert uses a library system to allow input parameters to be reused for multiple items.

Overview

Library items are used for most of the model entities, and include:

• Trains
• Vehicles
• Wheelsets
• Point sources
• Line sources
• Area sources
• Box sources
• Tracks
• Environments
• Barriers
• Receiver groups
• Source groupings

Usage

New library items are created by first selecting the “Library” tab when in the model view. Here you will find the option to create any of the library items listed above. You can alternatively duplicate existing library items via a menu that appears when right-clicking on a library item. A dialog box will appear to request a name for the new item (which should be unique, and not include any special characters), and then the item is created. It will automatically be selected, and any input parameters can be edited in the Property table.
